SFY University Director of Training, SFY University Lead Trainer

Hello! I’m Crystal! My goal here at SFY University is to bring a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to my training sessions, and to give my students every chance to succeed. I believe that the background and experiences you bring to the table are what makes YOU unique. I started with SFY as an assistant, and worked my way up as an estimator, then a business developer where I got to travel and meet many like-minded individuals looking for ways to better their process. I got to follow my passion for teaching with our SFY University program and am honored to be with you today as the Lead Trainer, and Director of Training for our internal team. I am an Xactimate Certified Trainer, with certifications in Six Sigma, IICRC WRT, FSRT, and OCT. I’m based in Jacksonville, FL, and outside of working in the roofing &restoration industry and teaching, I love the beach, horses, “Dad-jokes,” and cooking, as well as searching for the perfect hole-in-the wall dining “adventures.” If you have a yelp list of places to try, hit me up! SFY University Trainer, SFY Estimate Writer Manager

Hi, I’m Cory King and I am one of the Xactimate Certified Trainers here at SFY University. When you take one of my classes it is a personal goal of mine that you receive the best training possible. I want to ensure you feel like you have a much better understanding of how to use Xactimate and that you’re able to write professional estimates using the software. I am an Xactimate Certified Trainer, as well as holding IICRC certifications for WRT, FSRT, and OCT. I also hold Type 1 and 2 EPA Certifications. I’ve worked in the construction industry since I was a teenager helping my father with his remodeling company. I’ve worked as a laborer, a project manager, estimator, and the branch manager for one of the largest interior building material suppliers in the nation. I’m based in the Noblesville suburb of Indianapolis, Indiana. Outside of work I’m a father, carpenter, and a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I build custom furniture or anything wood related in my garage, and when the weather is nice, you’ll find me in the woods of State and National Parks around the Midwest hiking, camping, or climbing. I love seeing my students succeed, so I make myself available outside of class for questions when they arise. I also structure my classes to fit the skill level of the students in each class. Hopefully, we’ll meet each other soon and you’ll let me help take you to the next level as an estimator!

SFY University Trainer, SFY Senior Training Specialist 

Hello, I am Rafael. I am a lifelong learner and teacher, and it is my goal to provide you with the best possible experience to succeed at SFY University. With 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and adult learning experience I strive to develop and deliver an immersive and engaging environment in which to explore, learn and grow your skills. I began my journey as a Junior High Teacher, Department Head and Assistant Principal in a Catholic School in Houston, Texas for 10 years. I transitioned into insurance as my family grew, I was a Liability adjuster for Farmers Insurance, a Property adjuster for Farmers and Foremost insurance and transitioned to be the Property Field Trainer and the Regional Field Trainer for the South East for the University of Farmers. I also helped to establish and start the Property Training program at Germania Insurance. I joined SFY in 2017 as an estimator and was promoted to Estimator Lead, Trainer, and General Manager. I am Xactimate Certified Level 1, 2 & 3. I have been an Xactimate Certified Trainer, I have trained hundreds of adjusters in Symbility.

I am a graduate of the University of Dallas (’95) and have my Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy, Theology and an Associates in Insurance Services. My family and I have lived in many places in the United States and Mexico over the past years and we enjoy traveling very much. We enjoy visiting and learning about new cultures and people everywhere we travel. I am a big fan of The Walt Disney Company, their movies, music, and parks, and even worked for them as a bus driver at Walt Disney World.

I'm excited to officially introduce myself as the newest Trainer with SFY University and a proud USMC Veteran with a background in Real Estate and Office Management in Roofing/Construction. I hold a master's degree in Sport Psychology and I'm Xactimate Level 1 and 2 Certified. When I am not on the job, you can find me outdoors, soaking up nature’s beauty or trying out new hiking trails. I am a mother extraordinaire and understand the importance of finding balance in life and make sure to spend time working on hobbies with my daughter.Let’s join forces and achieve great things!
